15 Snacks to Boost Energy and Productivity*

Hey guys!

Hope you're all having a good week! I've just finished my internship at Student & Graduate Publishing, so I'm now looking for journalism courses and jobs! I haven't had much luck so far, but fingers cross I'll get something soon!

So today's post will be all about snacks! It is not only main meals that help fuel your brain - snacks can also make you more alert and increase productivity throughout the day. However, rather than munching on a packet of crisps or a bar of chocolate, which both contain hundreds of calories, it's best to stick to natural foods, such as raw chocolate, fruit and seeds. These all have minimal additional ingredients and are full of iron, protein, magnesium and antioxidants. Thy are perfect for boosting your energy levels, and you'll feel less hungry later in the day. GoToMeeting has come up with a really handy infographic that shows some healthy snack alternatives:

I personally love some of the snacks on this list. Smoothies have become my go-to drink in the mornings, and I try to eat as much fruit as I can - my favourites includes mango, strawberry, raspberry and pineapple. Hummus makes a really tasty dip for sliced veg and crackers - I normally have hummus with carrots, cucumber and tomatoes. Yummy! I don't really eat quinoa or seeds, but I intend to incorporate them more into my diet.

Disclamer: This is a collaborative post. All opinions are my own.

What are your favourite snacks?

Hasta luego!

June + July Goodies

Hey guys!

Today I will be sharing some treats I bought during the last couple of months!

1. Shoes - I bought these during a sale in New Look several weeks ago.

2. Mr Kipling Cocktail Fancies -  I heard about these and when I found them for only £1.50 I knew I had to buy them. I've tried a couple, and they're all right, but I wouldn't say they're anything special. The fancies just taste like normal ones. Bit of a shame really, as they could be so much better and taste like actual cocktails!

3. Books - I added a lot of books to my shelf during July, and you can read the post about that here

4. Trident Tropical Flavour Chewing Gum - I bought this gum from a sale in a sweet shop in York. They taste delicious but unfortunately the flavour doesn't last very long.

5. Dessert Skittles - I'd been wanting to try these for a while, and I finally gave in when I saw them in a sweet shop for around 75p. As with the Cocktail Fancies, Dessert Skittles aren't amazing.

What treats have you bought for yourself this month? (doesn't have to be food!)

Hasta luego!

Eleventh Graze Box: Nibble Box Number 8

Hey guys!

I wasn't actually expecting a Graze Box this week but it was a nice surprise! I thought I'd cancelled my box from this week until I come back to York after the summer holidays, but I'm not complaining!

Here's what I received in my box:

1. Sticky Chocolate Pudding

I received this before, in my chocolate box back in January. It was delicious!

2. Smoky Chipotle Dip

I thought I received this snack before but I can't actually find it anywhere amongst my picture files! It looks tasty though!

3. Strawberries & Cream Granola Topper

I clicked on the 'try' option for this on the Graze website. I absolutely love strawberries and yoghurt-coated fruit! I think I'll have this with some plain yoghurt!

4. Tomato & Basil Pizza

A bit unfortunate that this isn't an actual pizza! It consists of cheese flavoured cashews, basil crunchini and mini tomato breadstick, so I guess it'll taste like a pizza, just without the added thousands of calories!

I'm going to miss getting Graze Boxes over summer!! :( They are so fun and delicious, of course!

Hasta luego!
